I will start with the Mos Def arrest during last weeks VMA's in NYC. Maybe alot of you watched it, maybe alot of you didn't but for those who watched it, I bet you didn't here about any of this going on outfront of the awards......beacause I didn't.
Now I don't get political on this thing ever, that is not what this is for, we all have our own opinions(even tho some opinions out there are all F$$ked up)I will express mine about this situation. Recently Mos Def was performing out front of the show, which was going fine. Then he began to perform a new track of his called "Katrina Clap", in this song he expresses his views on how the katrina disaster was handled and the current situation of the area in which this horrible event took place. AKA "Freedom of Speech", this by the way is just one of those great things about this country that I love. About a minute into the track the NYPD rushed the stage and forcefully shut it down, and when I say forcefully I mean ran up onto it and ripped the mic out of his hand and snatched him up, all a bit unneccessary if you ask me. I have close friends of mine that grew up with mos and talk to him on a regular. My take on him is that he's a real chill guy, and probably did nothing to provoke the harsh treatment, well looking at the video he really didn't have time. So check out the clip below and make your own opinion. For those who disagree with what I am saying, cool, we all have our own thoughts and have the ability to have these, which might I add is another reason why I love this country of ours!
Also peep the video for the track I found too!
Next thing is the death of the Crocodile Hunter. Wow! I hate saying this but didn't you ever think think was bound to happen, I mean come on he was doing some crazy sh$t. I mean putting his head in aligators mouths and chasing deadly snakes.....crazy dude man, but he seemed like a cool dude tho. I hate hearing about anybody's death so here is to you Crocodile Hunter a little tribute........
I found that tribute on the net. I did not put it together or anything like that.
